Africa Conservation Program

About Us

A Continent Conserved by Its Communities.

Our Vision

A continent where African communities are the stewards of nature, the protectors of their cultures, and the leaders of sustainable development.

Our Mission

We unite and amplify grassroots efforts in conservation, education, cultural heritage, and youth empowerment — supporting and collaborating with locally rooted initiatives like: BBCRCA – Bwindi Batwa Culture Rock and Cave Association, BTAG – Bwindi Talents Art Gallery and BYTV – Bwindi Youth TV. ACP serves as the umbrella body, providing coordination, support, advocacy, and structure to these dynamic partners.

OUR HISTORY

Founded in Uganda and rooted in Bwindi

Africa Conservation Program (ACP) is a pan-African, community-based conservation initiative. Founded in Uganda and rooted in Bwindi, ACP brings together conservationists, artists, cultural leaders, and youth under one shared vision: to restore harmony between people, nature, and heritage.

We train and support community youth in media and conservation.

We promote environmental awareness through art and storytelling.

We revive and protect indigenous knowledge and cultural sites.

We mobilize grassroots tree planting thereby fostering climate action.

We connect local voices with both national and international platforms.
